Unknown men have gunned down a renowned businessman in Beledweyne town of Hiran region on Saturday evening, Somaliafocus reports.
Mumin Abdulle Daqare was shot dead by armed men with pistols who immediately run away from the scene, sources said. However, local police officials said they have arrested a suspect.
The security forces in the town have carried out further operations aiming to find the perpetrators. Assassinations targeted on civilians and government personnel have been recently escalating in Beledweyne town.
Al-Shabaab group had lost the control of this strategic town, but remain visible in locations around the town where they launch assaults on Somali and Djibouti military bases.
