11 Dec 2016 (SofoNews) – A car explosion have hit the seaport of Mogadishu, killing at least 20 people, mainly civilians including women, and wounding more than 10 others, according to police and witnesses.
Mohamed Salad Osman, a reporter at Goobjoog News Radio said that the death toll could go higher after seeing numbers of bodies and injured people who have been rushed to hospitals in the capital.
Some of the wounded people are in a critical condition.
The car bomb hit the front side of Mogadishu’s busy seaport on Sunday morning, a time that Somalia is under political dilemma a head of the presidential election.
Al-Shabaab, the al-Qaeda-associated group has said to be carried out the Sunday attack at Mogadishu’s sea-port in a statement posted on Social media platforms.

Somalia had no functioning government since1991 when armed clan militias over thrown Siyad Barre regime followed by civil war and conflict.
